The Spyence Secret Agents are here to answer the most Frequently Asked Questions about Spyence.
The churches I know use Spyence as a weekend curriculum. Can I use it for my mid-week program?
Yes, Spyence works perfectly in a mid-week environment – it’s a high-energy curriculum with continuing storyline video clips that kids love, combined with creative large group teaching and relationship-building small group reflection time.
Add in the fun opening game and the hands-on Spyence experiments and we believe you’ll find it one of the most effective mid-week programs for child discipleship.
Will Spyence work for my short (or long) timeframe?
Yes, we provide options for 45 to 90 minutes.
Does Spyence have a family ministry resource for home discipleship?
Yes, our take-home Family Mission Guide teaches parents the theology that their kids are learning, gives them videos to watch together, and questions to discuss as a family.
Is everything included or do I have to purchase add-on supplies from you?
There is nothing else to buy from us. Everything is included except the supplies for the science experiments, which you most likely have in your resource room or can usually purchase at a dollar store or grocery store.
Is Spyence easy to teach? How much prep time is required?
Spyence is one of the easiest-to-teach curriculums available because of the short fast-paced teaching segments interspersed with brief video clips and small group activities. Volunteers love it!
What if it’s not a good fit for me? Does Spyence come with a guarantee?
We guarantee you’ll love the curriculum or we’ll refund your money, no hassles. Just let us know within a month after purchasing. But honestly, you’re going to love it.
What is Spyence’s Scope & Sequence based on?
Spyence is designed to teach kids deep truths that really matter. Truths that will stick with them and shape their lives. Truths that are Bible-based, Gospel-focused, and theologically-deep.
These truths are arranged and taught in a logical way. (Which just happens to be the definition of Systematic Theology: "Biblical truth taught in a systematic/logical manner.")
That's why we call Spyence "A Year-long Adventure in Systematic Theology for Kids."
Will Spyence work in my denomination?
Yes, we wrote Spyence to be a non-denominational evangelical resource. In rare cases, you may need to adjust the wording in the lesson slightly to fit your denomination’s distinctives.
How is the curriculum delivered?
All files are digital downloads - the slides, videos, printables, etc.
You may download as many times as needed for as long as needed.
What age group is Spyence best for?
Spyence is geared for elementary ages (Kindergarten through 5th-Grade), but we’ve heard lots of stories about older and younger kids loving it too, so feel free to adapt it to your setting.
Should I do the seasons in order?
Yes, if possible, because each season builds on the storyline that previous seasons have been developing.
(The only exceptions are the Christmas and Easter mini-seasons, which can be used at any time.)
However, if for some reason you need to skip around, don't worry. There's a short review video at the beginning of each season that shows what was happening at the end of the previous season, so that kids can jump right into the story.
When I purchase the curriclum, can I use it in more than one classroom or grade level, or do I have to pay extra for that?
Your license allows you to use Spyence in as many classrooms and grade-levels as you want.
We only ask that you limit it to your own children’s ministry, Christian school, or homeschool group - no sharing, please.
